Eric is taking off today for his National Clinical Boards in Kansas City. Why Kansas City you ask? Well, because since Eric wants to practice in California he has to take a certain boards exam that CA accepts. Unfortunately, Marquette does not offer this test. Therefore, the closest and least expensive school offering it was in KC. So, not only does Eric have to bring all of this:
dental shiz with him, but he had to screen multiple patients to find the perfect candidate for what they require and then BEG them to fly to KC. The easy part is finding the patients. The difficulty comes when I have to schedule 5 different flights, put up 3 + Eric & I in hotel rooms, pay for all their food + extra just for coming, hire a dental assistant to assist during his procedures, rent a car, pay for the testing fee, fly in my very supportive in-laws to watch our kids, try and reassure Eric that it will be a piece of cake, all the while praying these people actually show up for their flights because if they don't Eric fails. It has been a total nightmare the past two weeks. Senior year has not been the dream I thought it would be. But, as of this Saturday, the nightmare will be over and the dreaming can begin.

OH WOW JOS-
THAT SUCKS! GOOD LUCK WITH BOARDS THOUGH ERIC! AND GOOD LUCK JOS KEEPING YOUR SANITY!
What a nightmare. I can't believe they can't just merge all the board exam into one that everyone can take and that all states accept. They have to make it as hard as possible to get through it...and LIVE patients. Med students don't have to do that. We were lucky Rod got to stay at Marquette with all the patients they WOULDN'T accept. Good luck. It's all downhill after that!
Holy Crap there is an end in sight. How exciting..And duh of course I knew you would respond to my jazz post. I post them mostly for you...
Good luck Eric!! That's a whole lot of stuff on the table there. You're going to do great!
Man Jos - that's a lot of crap to do! Dan calls that "takin' care of business." Eric's a lucky man (as we all know). And good luck him. I'm glad it will finally feel over with soon!
Good luck, Eric!! You'll kill this round of the boards, and you know it!
Jos, you're a pro at making schedules, booking tickets and telling people where to go and what to do ;) You'll keep everything together and running smoothly!! Good luck!
AND THANK YOU ED AND DIANE!
HOLY COW!!! Could they make it any harder to graduate? I hope everything goes well. I hope my jury duty is worth is that I couldn't be out there.
Hi Josie! I found you on Amy's blog. Thank goodness Eric's almost done. If you're coming to NorCal let us know. I know some little girls who would have a lot of fun with those boys of yours. (Tell Emily to make a blog.)
