re: No self control

8:17pm CST, cookie count: 3 - celery sticks: 0

Wet suit?...nope, just a mormon swimsuit

My sister Anne emailed me this link to a website selling "modest" swimwear. It was recommended by a lady in her ward. Never in a million years... what's next waerproof G's?

No self control

None whatsoever! I go to the gym 5 days a week. I'm pretty motivated when I go, I don't walk around wasting time like some guys there. This one guy, who works at Best Buy and is like 45 years old, thinks he is the best thing ever. But he is so annoying. He walks around talking to everyone (while they are running - and listening to music) and has no clue that they are rolling their eyes and trying not to make eye contact the second he shows up. But back to me. It is true, I have no self control. Especially when it comes to cookies. Snickerdoodle, Trader Joes Chai Spice, Panera Chocolate Chip...I am a true connoisseur. And that is my problem. It is really frustrating after having gone to the gym to come home and have to have a cookie. What is my problem? I need to replace this craving with something but have yet to think of anything. I think it's an addiction of which I should seek therapy. Thus far today, cookie count stands at 1. I'm sure the tally will increase as the day goes on and the boredom ensues.

I need a nap

That's it! I need a nap, period.

Who do they think they are kidding?

The "they" in the question above is in reference to all husbands, boyfriends, significant others or just males in general who have been caught doing the following... Why is it when I watch stupid, at times trashy, and mindless tv programs such as; the hills, real housewives of the oc, and what about brian does eric bash me for wasting my time but then halfway through the show ask me what is happening or what is new with slade and jo? It drives me nuts. He pretends he is on the computer, but at least 5 times throughout the show I see his head wipped around staring at the tv, totally involved in the show. He's not fooling me. He just needs to man up and admit that he loves said shows. At least my father-in-law isn't embarassed to admit he DVRs the real housewives. Care to comment eric?????

So today...

...I was thinking about this blog...actually, I was thinking mainly of other blogs that I have read in the past month and comparing mine with those out there (i know you all do the same) and I was thinking to myself, what interesting ideas do I have to share on this thing...and I couldn't really think of any. I mean, I was talking to my sister Anne Sunday night and she asked me what's new and my response was, well...Ethan said the prayer in primary today. How pathetic is that? Her, asking me that after having returned the day before from a week in NYC. I really need a life. I'm pretty sure I used to have one. At what point it left me I'm not sure. I'm sure I could blame one of my kids. Or maybe both. Such is life.

Legoland

While in S. Cal we went to Legoland for the first time with Grandma and Grandpa Christensen, otherwise known as beach papa and beach grandma. Ethan gave them their names because they live at the beach, but I guess you already figured that out. Good times!

Saved the best for last...Ethan on his first roller coaster. He was not pleased.

Monterey, CA

This past week we took a trip to Monterey, CA and also Southern Cal for Eric's spring break. We started at Anne and Mike's house in Lafayette, CA. Getting there was not easy...United Airlines was not nice to us, but we managed. We got to Monterey, which is about 2 hours south of San Fran and headed straight to the Aquarium. Ed and Diane also made the trip up from the OC to hang out. That night we went to dinner with the Richey's (some friends from Whittier), and over the next few days got to catch up and tour around the city that they have fell in love with. It was a great trip - we really enjoyed Monterey.

Happy 24th!

Today is Molly & Martha's Birthday and I am stuck in WI unable to help them celebrate. This could be the very first birthday they have ever spent apart...(maybe one of you should post and verify that for me). I guess Martha will be spending her bday at the Clippers/Jazz game, it is beyond me how she could like either team, but oh well. And Molly is in happy valley with KC... I'm sure he has something fun planned. I will need an update of all gifts received from those boys of yours. All in all I hope you both have a great birthday! Love you.

Snow Day

Winter has it's way of sticking around for months on end when you live in wisconsin. At least ethan appreciates it. He is my snow angel! This storm produced at least a foot of snow and a major back ache for eric. Luckily, i had cohen to tend or else i would have had to shovel too.

I'm New At This

Well, here goes...... I'm not much for this sort of thing, but figured I should give it a whirl. Those of you out there know we have a website, www.ericjosie.com, but it doesn't get updated as often as it should because Eric is in school and doesn't have much time. So, I guess this is the next best thing since I am clueless when it comes to web design.....
