Gentlemen Broncos

I was wondering what happened to this movie... I posted about it over a year ago and then heard nothing about it until Eric emailed me the trailer today. So excited!

1 down, 19 to go

Eric has been chomping at the bit to pull Ethan's first tooth ever since he found out is was loose. So, when does he decide the perfect time do this would be? While I am poised with the video camera, ready to catch any tears or blood that may come from such a thing? NO. While I am at work. Eric called me today excited to inform me that Ethan has lost his first tooth. So naturally I was disappointed and asked why he didn't wait for me. His comeback? "Well, that's the life of a working mother." Thanks Dr. Laura.

Yosemite

Camping - I don't know what to say about it at the moment. Coming right off a trip I am done and don't want to do it for years to come, but ask me in a month and I'm sure it will sound like a good idea. Don't get me wrong, I love to camp, but it is a crap load of work. I probably wouldn't be so annoyed if it hadn't rained Sunday morning, leaving packing up a nightmare and everything wet and soggy.

This was my first trip to Yosemite. It really is beautiful. We scored what I think was the best campsite in the group. It was big and right on the water. The kids loved playing in the water and throwing rocks. Cohen threw one up and it came right back down and landed on his head. Ouch. We had a big group so we rented a second campsite. Anne, Mike, Lucy, Molly & KC all came over from the Bay area. Dean flew in from SLC, and Martha joined the rest of us S. Cal peeps. I think we could have had enough to do for a week long trip, but we weren't able to take that much time off. Next year we are thinking we should do Big Sur.

12:11am

I hear noise outside my room. I opened the door thinking one of the kids was out there but I also wanted to check the thermostat because it was cold in our room. Diane was standing right there and scared me half to death. But regardless of that, I notice I am standing in wetness. I turn on the light and see a few little puddles in a row, leading to Ethan's room. I check on him. He's in his bed, his pants are pulled down around his knees with his underwear is still on. It's wet. What the? I pull Ethan out of bed to change his clothes. The kid is a dEEEEEEEEEp sleeper. He's falling back to sleep as Diane and I change his clothes. We continue to search for clues to tell us what happened to the hallway carpet. Apparently, Ethan must have been sleep walking or just highly confused because he left his room to go pee but mistook the basket full of CLEAN clothes as the toilet. Nice.

Sorry

The previous video is working now....sorry for any problems I may have caused.

Click here if it still doesn't work.

Apparently, Cohen was worked up about something the other day. Being the 2-year old that he is I have 1. no idea what happened to cause such a reaction, 2. no idea what he was saying, and 3. no interest in knowing the swear words that were going on in his head as he reamed both Ethan and I. A definite must see!

Ortega Canyon

Last weekend we took a mini-camping trip up to Ortega Canyon with four other families from our ward. It was a good pre-Yosemite trip to get us pumped for our trek later in the month. Thanks to Sarah for putting it together - the kids had a great time and Eric got to bed earlier than he has in weeks. Seriously, he fell asleep while putting the kids down so he missed out on all the late night chatter at the campfire.

Ryker - having a little Cheeto with his dirt.

Attempting to open a can without a can-opener. The cobbler was amazing!

Cereal. Coco Puffs + Charms

Costco muffins - the new corn ones are soooo good.

Cohen likes chocolate though.

One liners

Ok, so there's a lot of random stuff I haven't really blogged about so here's a taste.

- Cohen is officially potty trained, having had no accidents and poops like a champ on the toilet!

- Last weekend I took a photo class from Nicole, it was good and I learned a lot.

- We're going camping tonight with some peeps from the ward - very spur of the moment but should be fun.

- Diane and Ed won over $1500 bucks in Vegas this week - shhh don't tell.

- Eric is already contemplating trading in his BMW (purchased in January) for this Rover, he is driving me CRAZY!

- He originally had the idea to do so because of:

...but seeing as it's currently NOT available anymore (bitter), I think he needs to stick with his current car.

- School is starting in less than a month and I am SUPER excited, not one bit ready, but SUPER excited.

Rude

Ethan: What kind of mom would drink a diet coke in the morning?
(first of all it's 10:15, not 7)
Me: A mom who's kids get out of bed and come into my room at all hours of the night only to wake up for good at 6:45am, during the SUMMER!!!!!

The next Dr. Brown

Ethan that is. I bought him a new Play-Doh set made just for the son of a dentist. He was loving it, especially the drill (not shown here). It kept him busy for at least an hour - now if only Eric could prep 4 crowns in an hour...

Cohen stuck with Spongebob.

It's a Mr. Potato Head of sorts. He just kept applying mouths.
