A fresh outlook

Last week I got great news about our Rover, if you remember the dealership quoted me anywhere from $800-$9,000 to fix it. Totally laughable. So, I called this independent repair shop that specializes in English cars. He said it could be as simple as the fuel filter. What? The dealership never mentioned anything about that.... ugh. So I scheduled a time for him to take a look at it to figure out just what it could be and if the car was worth saving. In the meantime that meant that I would have no car. I have long since liked the Honda Pilot and the Saturn Outlook and decided to call them to see if they ever offer extended test drives, and wouldn't you know, Saturn does! So tonight we picked up a car to test drive for a day or so... just enough time to get me through the day or so that it will take to tell me what my rover needs. Hooray, free rental car!! And to tell you the truth, I really like it.

We have a Pilot and we looooove it. We rub it down with fine oils and wrap it in linen and place it in a next made from the underwings of baby ducks every night. I highly recommend Pilots.

Ditto! What car do you have that won't die? ? ? HONDA! enough said! But where would the pit be? Very smart to test drive! I need you around to give me good ideas like that!

Sorry guys, the Honda Pilot is not even in the same league as the Saturn Outlook or its Lambda siblings. The Outlook has much more usable interior room and cargo space, an actual 3rd row that can be used by adults and with both captains chairs and the innovative SmartSlide feature, much easier access to that 3rd row. It has more horsepower, more comfortable ride, better towing capabilities, vastly superior interior, MANY more available features and even with all those pluses, has better fuel economy!! It just won Motorweek's Drivers Choice Award - Best Crossover, for the 2nd consecutive year.

Not to mention the looks. I mean, come on. Look at it - it makes the stale old Pilot look like a bread box! The pilot was a good, solid first gen crossover that paved the way. But it's no longer competitive - and every major automotive reviewer in the country agrees.

Who art thou? Do you work for Saturn?

LOL! No... just an Acadia owner who loves seeing others come to the realization that these new GM crossovers raise the bar on the full size CUV segment.
