Toto Time?

Lately, Cohen has started to hate his diaper. He tugs on it when it's at all wet and now informs me when he has gone poop so that I can remove it immediately. Today, he removed his own dirty diaper without me knowing - luckily it was a poop of the no-wipe-needed variety. So this only makes me wonder if he's ready for potty training.

That would mean I would need to get this....

..... out of storage.

Which would mean I would need to have...

.... on call.

I would need to be ready for loads of this:

Which would lead to plenty of this:

Which would end up in a some of this:

AND this:

Who cares if Cohen's ready - the question should be, am I ready?

Is Eric ready? He does half the laundry and changes half of the diapers right???

Hilarious! I hate potty training... but mostly because I have been trying it with my #1 for about 3 years and still have not been successful. Good Luck!

Anne,
You must be living in an alternate world that I know nothing about.

I have only potty trained one kid and it was probably the hardest thing I've ever done. Oh, and I thought it would be a good idea to wait until after Jenna was born to start. That was fun nursing a newborn while he stood there and peed his pants in front of me. And I really can't even say we really "trained" him. More like he had an accident one day, Dave put him in the shower to clean him off and when he turned it on, Trent freaked out because he hates the shower (it scares him??), and he seriously never had an accident after that. Please don't call CPS on us.

Good luck. I'm sure Cohen will be a lot easier to train since he has an older brother.

Oh, and those scooby doo toys in the exhaust pipe are hilarious!! Where do kids think of these things?

Well Eric, if you ever want to see Baby#3 then you better start living in my world.

When you coming to visit us?

Fun, fun. I guess I can say that because I haven't tried potty training yet! :) But, not buying diapers sounds great! I hope it goes well. I love the Eric and Anne comments! Ha. Too funny.

Ha! By the time #4 wanted to potty train herself at 2, I was ready to keep her in diapers until she was 11. I hear you, it's exhausting and gross. Funny because you're so eager when the first one is ready and as the years tick by you get lazy. Tell him it's cool to wear diapers to 7th grade and see if that flies.

you're totally right, it's all about if the mom's ready. although the kid better be ready too, or that would be a big mess. i hate potty training.

Today my sister said, " I thought savvy was potty trained?" I answered she's only potty trained when I'm potty trained. So yes I'm still spending $50 a month on diapers. It's worth it, but good luck. Some kids really figure it out fast. Corban was one.
